History

1938 - Samsung Group made by Lee Byung Chul in Daegu City, they sold vegetables and food.
1947 - Main Office of Samsung Group moved to Seoul South Korea.
1951 - Change the title to Samsung Corporation.
1954 - Lee Byung Chul Striving to make Samsung as a leader Corporation like insurance, etc.
1960 - Samsung has an electronic division that became a leader division in that company.
1961 - Samsung made their first product, White and Black television.
1980 - Samsung Bought Hanguk Jeonja Tongsin in Gumi city.
Description:
Because at that moment, Hanguk Jeonja Tongsin was the best telecommunication company in South Korea.
1981 - Start to build their Telecommunication equipments.
1982 - Samsung Telecommunication first product Switchboards, Samsung was not the inventor of switchboard technology. It was invented by Almon Brown Stroger.
1982 - Samsung built a plant in portugese
1984 - Samsung built a plant in New York.
1985 - Samsung built a plant in Tokyo.
1987 - Built plants in England.
1988 - Samsung telecommunication merge with Samsung Semiconductor & Communications.
1992 - Samsung became largest producer of memory chips in the world.
1995 - Samsung acquired rollei corporation (swiss)
1996 - Built plants in Austin, Texas, U.S.A. They did merge with Sprint Corporation.

Conclusion
  • Samsung made their changes toward to better corporation with acquiring good corporation. They acquiring Hanguk Jeonja Tongsin in 1980, Rollei Corp (Swiss), and then they made a biggest turnover of Samsung Corporation, they began to make telecommunication eq.
  • Samsung did big Globalization strategy, they forced western market. U.S.A , england, for instance. Behind of that, they found the way using merger strategy with American company (Sprint corporation).
  • Samsung Made a plant in U.S.A with cautiously. They made a plants in a city where economic growing fast. Around 20's century Austin had a big economic growing because their successful of their Oil company.
  • Samsung made an organizational structure based on their products. For instance, There is semiconductor division, telecommunication division in Samsung, etc.
